As Part of West Virginia “Celebrate Freedom Week”, Martha Elementary will conduct the school’s annual Constitution Day Celebration, Friday, September 15, 2017.

“Our students have been working hard for the last few weeks preparing a patriotic concert and dusting off our marching shoes for this big event,” says Kelly Childers, Martha Elementary Music Specialist.

As weather permits, the event times will be as follows:

10:30 AM - K-5 Concert will begin outside in front of the school for the Martha community and family members.

11:00 AM - Patriotic Parade will begin around the walking track and will feature a school-wide signing of the Constitution

11:20 AM - Students begin to pick up their picnic lunch. Each class will eat outside with their families.

12:15 AM – Students should be back in their classrooms.

In the case of inclement weather, the celebration will be postponed until Monday, September 18, 2017 (schedule would remain the same)
